From Emergency Medicine to Soul Medicine - Della’s Journey of Awakening and Unity

Della, author and founder of L’École de la Réalité, has a story that transcends the boundaries between life and death, science and spirit. Her transformation began with a profound near-death experience that brought her a life-changing realization: that all is One, and all is Love. This awakening led her from her role as an emergency doctor to being described as a “doctor of souls,” offering guidance and healing from a place of deep spiritual connection. Through her gentle presence and the loving energy that radiates from her, Della has become a beacon of light for those seeking to open their hearts to the truth within. Her words, spontaneous and enveloping, invite others to explore the infinite nature of the heart. In her books, Le Cœur Ouvert à l’Infini (2016) and Et si j’étais la Vie? (2019), co-written with Michaël, she shares the wisdom gained through her own spiritual journey. Join Mystic Mag and read more.

Your journey began with a near-death experience that transformed your perception of life. Can you share what that moment revealed to you about the nature of love and our connection to the universe?

First, I would like to share with you that my reconnection to Oneness happened under hypnosis. I’ve never come close to a physical death of the body. It was only two years later, after reading about near-death experiences (NDEs), that I realized my experience was similar.

This out-of-body experience allowed me to unite, merge, and become the Source of love at the origin of all creation. This Source permits all experimentation of itself in the illusion of separation, only to return to the reality of this Oneness.

In your experience, what is the biggest misconception people have about the concept of “Oneness,” and how can they begin to experience this truth in their daily lives?

Oneness is misconceived as a state of unconditional love, bliss, compassion, in which we are free of pain and suffering.

Oneness is here and now as Reality is. This discovery unfolds as we question the way we perceive reality. As we remove our glasses of separation made of beliefs and conditionings, what is left is Love and Oneness.

We can begin to experience Oneness when we start to open our heart and become conscious of the thoughts arising creating the veil of separation. Those thoughts are powerful. They maintain the idea that we are separate from the other and the Universe. Paradoxically, those thoughts arise from pure Love. They allow us to live in a known world of our own, protecting us from the two fundamental fears : the fear of living our full potential as a free soul and the fear of dying.

Becoming conscious of the Love underlying all experience helps us to make peace with our path. It also invites us to discover our free will to break free from conditioning that is no longer in service for our soul yearning to recognize the true nature of life.

What type of services do you offer?

Michaël and I have founded the “Ecole de la Réalité”, a French school in which we support people in their journey towards their true essence. We have developed the concept of “guardians of separation”, a loving energy that protects us for becoming who we really are !

Our book “What if I was Life ?”, translation of “Et si j’étais la Vie ?” should be available by 2025. It describes the mechanisms of protection that maintain us in the illusion of separation. It also offers many invitations to open up to the miracle of who we are.

You and Michaël embody a relationship rooted in authenticity and transparency. What advice would you give to couples seeking to cultivate deeper intimacy and connection in their partnerships?

The main practice that we consider fundamental in a couple (and with everybody and everything by the way) is to break free of the belief that the other is responsible for what arises within. This concept of causality is the root of the separation and conflict. If we choose to look within instead of towards the other, we can recognize that what arises inside of us is an invitation to listen to our soul, its needs and its preferences. It can then be shared with the other from a place of love, without blame or charge. Each soul has then the place to shine and to share its truth of the moment with authenticity and love.

In your book Le Cœur Ouvert à l’Infini, you speak about opening the heart to the infinite. How can one begin the journey of opening their heart, especially if they’ve experienced deep pain or loss?

As we are identified as the “person we believe ourselves to be”, the loving protection of ours guardians will make us believe that it is better to close our hearts in a world where we can experience deep pain and loss. It is human to protect ourselves.

But sometimes, by preserving us from suffering from the outside, we become entrapped in our inner “safe place”, too tight and too small for the soul to thrive. This “safe place” for who we believe ourselves to be has cut us from the experiment of Life and Love.

Letting us feel the raw sensation of fear, of loss, of pain while discovering our vulnerability makes us realize that we are stronger then what we used to believe. We are the superheroes of our human life. We are Life itself.

In a world often focused on material success and external validation, how can individuals reconnect with their inner truth and live from a place of simplicity and presence?

Everything is possible when the intention of the heart is clear. If someone is yearning for reconnection with their true nature, the path will unfold, especially if room is made for meditation, insight, openness. The wisdom is already within us to find what resonates the most with our heart.
