MysticMag has the opportunity to discuss psychic mediumship with Debbie Malone, a Sydney-based, internationally acclaimed psychic, clairvoyant, medium & psychic detective and spirit photographer.
Do you believe your 7 NDEs were intended to happen – part of a bigger ‘master’ plan?
Definitely! I have always had psychic experiences around me and my first NDE was when I was three and the next, when I was thirteen. I feel that part of it is so that I can understand what it’s like to be on the other side, especially being a medium and telling people there is something there when they can’t see it.
We are terrified of death (as a species) and we never talk about it. We talk about living but death is a topic that we tend to avoid. I think it is a matter of understanding that there is a greater purpose to life and thereafter.
All my NDEs were very different but I feel that Spirit sent me back each time.
In what way were your psychic abilities and spirituality heightened after these experiences?
When I was three I had Bronchiolitis and I remember the doctors fearing I would die. I was the only child in the ward and I remember seeing this beautiful Being of light, who I now know was an Angel. This lady was always with me and always comforting me. When I was thirteen I had my appendix out and during the operation my heart stopped. I left my body and was floating around on the ceiling looking down at my body and the team of doctors and nurses trying to revive me…
After this experience, I went to the school library and found a book called ‘Life after Life’ by Raymond Moody. I read it from cover to cover. I always felt different to everyone else but no one ever discussed matters like this back then, or if it was, the whole issue was mocked. My mother prevented me from pursuing this path so I actually ended up avoiding my psychic abilities (and the little voices in my head) like the plague. It is quite ironic as I was actually the biggest skeptic when it came to psychic mediumship, and now I practice professionally ;).
What is the most challenging part of teaching others to tune into their Higher Self?
Teaching people patience and to believe. We all have psychic abilities in some kind of shape or form but it is a matter of understanding what they are and not being afraid of them. Understanding that we can work with it and understanding that we are part of a beautiful team and that our Spirits are there to help and protect us is key. I understand that people are frightened and have had my own terrifying personal experiences with Spirits, but this is simply because we have good and bad on Earth just as we do in the Spiritual realm. People don’t just die, grow wings and become Angels – they can carry their negativity through with them.
I do believe that people have started to shift. The amount of Awakening that has happened around the world, particularly since Covid, is incredible. We have lost so many lives and people have found themselves in such isolation that people have started to question how long life is and that creating memories is more important than the car we have in the garage. I feel people have become more connected to their Higher Self and have realized that there is definitely more.
What has been the most vivid/eerie experience you have encountered whilst helping to solve a crime?
When I work with the police they rarely give me the details of the case, and I prefer this as I like to work with fresh eyes. I was working on a case of a murdered woman and I told the police where I thought she had been murdered, which turned out to be a kind of drug rehabilitation center. We went to the place (and blue building) in question and I recounted the events of the crime as it unraveled through my eyes. I took the police down to the location where her body was found. I could see the room with the blood and everything that this poor woman had endured. Suddenly the murderer started walking towards me and then walked right through me. This had never happened to me before. I later found out that the murderer had killed himself which explained why this was able to happen. It was quite a freaky experience, I have to say.
When I am working on a case, I am either able to experience the crime through the eyes of the murderer or rapist, or I am able to be the victim and experience the pain and suffering they went through (to a lesser degree), or I can be a witness to the crime – a fly on the wall so to speak. This is quite dramatic for me but if I am able to help a family come to terms with their loss or locate a body for example, then I am prepared to put myself through the trauma.
Which part of your work do you find the most rewarding?
I do like to help with the crime work, albeit dangerous (I have had people come after me). One of the most rewarding parts of my work is connecting with a loved one and letting the family know that they are ok and happy. It is providing information to the family that no one else could know. I can see the transformation in the person left behind and know that my input can greatly help in their grieving process. It is so comforting to know that your loved one is watching over you and knowing that love never dies.
Would you say you are living your Soul Purpose?
I hope I am but I wish I could do more, solve more cases and give families some closure. However, I am one single person and can only take on so much. When I help people awaken their own abilities, I am passing on the knowledge so that more of us can use our abilities to make a difference in the world and live a more purposeful life. Working with nature is part of this, and looking after this planet is of huge importance. Helping others find their way and passing on knowledge is all we can do to better ourselves and the world around us.
