Promoting Your Teacher Profile

There are a few ways to give exposure to your Teacher Profile and grow your audience.

We recommend you promote your teacher profile to our Insight Timer community and also to your external network (win-win!)

Here are some suggestions that can help you get more exposure to the Insight Timer community:

Make sure you have the right profile photo

When someone checks your profile for the first time, your profile photo will be the first impression they get from you. Make sure is in high resolution, and that it represents you, your brand, and your personality.

Review your bio

Our community loves to read about our teachers. Make sure your bio includes all the interesting facts you would like to share: your story, your experience, achievements, and credentials. All of that will add credibility to your profile and help users trust you, follow you and engage with you and your content.

If you need to upload a new photo or update your bio, please go to your Teacher Dashboard and click on the “Publisher Profile” tab located on the left menu:

Upload content regularly

By recording and uploading content regularly, you will appear more often on your followers’ stories and notification trays. When someone listens to your content, it appears on their friends’ stories.

This will give your profile more visibility, as you will have more chances to be discovered by new users: more followers, plays, comments, and ultimately, revenue.

Create a Group and make it grow

There are thousands of Groups on Insight Timer, we invite you (if you haven’t done it already) to create a group and use it as a space for discussion and reflection, to engage with your audience, to recommend content, and to keep them informed of your new releases and upcoming events.

Host Live Events

Live events are a great way to gain exposure and connect in real-time with our community. They are free to join, and you can receive donations during the event.
Teachers who host live sessions regularly have been able to build a loyal and engaged audience.

You can invite attendees to follow your Teacher Profile, join your Group, and listen to your content.

Sharing your profile with your external network:

A great way to build up an audience is by inviting your external network (colleagues, clients, students, family, and friends) to follow you on Insight Timer. They will get access to wonderful teachings for free and you will grow your following.

We recommend you share your teacher profile on the different social media channels (from Instagram to Whatsapp), and also in your email newsletter.

You can also do it during your 1:1 sessions, at a workshop or speaking event, or casually while having a chat with friends or colleagues. Every follower counts!

You can share your teacher profile from:

• The Insight Timer app
• Your teacher dashboard
• Your web profile.

From the Insight Timer app:

1. Go to your teacher profile and tap on the icon at the top right.
2. Select which channel you would like to share your profile.
3. If you click on “More”, you will see more options.

You can also tap on the Instagram icon to share straight to your Instagram stories:

From your Teacher Dashboard

1. Login to your dashboard
2. Click on the “Promotion” tab on the left menu
3. Click on the arrow next to your profile
4. Select the channel on which you would like to share your profile.

From your Web Profile:

1. Visit your web profile: www.insighttimer.com/username
2. Click on the icon at the top right
3. Select the channel on which you would like to share your website profile.

To make the most out of it, don’t forget to let people know that it is completely free to download the app and to listen to your meditations.

When you share your teacher profile with your external audience, make sure you ask them to:

• Download the Insight Timer app
• “Follow” your teacher profile (so they can receive notifications on your new releases)
• Listen to your content (as they will benefit from your teachings and your content will get more plays)
• Rate and Comment on your audios (to build an engaged audience)
